OAA Board Learns of Possible Proposal Revision (Pilot)

OAA Board was informed by OAA staff of MTA "discussing a more phased or pilot-oriented framework that could include:

  • Use of striped (not fully painted) red lanes, limited to 1–2 blocks initially

  • Data monitoring, evaluation, and community input on this 1-2 lane pilot before any broader rollout

  • Sequencing so that other safety improvements (e.g., enforcement, pedestrian safety measures, etc.) are implemented first, before red lanes

  • A longer timeline (approximately 9–12 months) before any implementation"

No feedback was received.

Second Community Town Hall

OAA hosted a second public meeting at City College to answer additional questions and continue gathering community feedback.
